Steven Lovatt – Artist profile
Steven Lovatt - the artist, creator and driving force behind Sauce. Steven has been involved in art for as long as he can remember.
“The very first painting I produced was when I was 6 years old. It was a painting of "The Great Harry" - a beautiful sailing warship with guns blazing and the sea illuminated by the flames and action of war. The intense sense of excitement and energy I felt painting then is no different to the adrenaline rush I get now when I create a picture or sculpture, or develop a creative idea”.
Steven studied Art History from 1978-1982. He has been a professional artist for 22 years, 15 of them spent as a graphic artist. He also worked as an Art Studio Manager and a Product Development Director before founding Sauce Studios.
